The goal is to increase product adoption and community engagement by understanding and addressing the unique needs of developers.

Job description

The Marketing Manager is a hands-on marketing and brand leader responsible for driving awareness, demand, engagement, and revenue across Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel, The Rookery, lāk, and the property's event spaces. This is not a "post and schedule" role. This position develops the strategy, executes the work, and partners closely with Sales, F&B, Guest Services, Banquets, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure the brand is represented consistently throughout the entire guest experience.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on operator who can move seamlessly between building marketing campaigns, managing events and programming, creating content, analyzing performance, supporting public relations, and being present on property to ensure what is marketed is exactly what is delivered.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that increase awareness, engagement, bookings, event attendance, and revenue
• Manage paid media across social, search, and other digital channels, including budgeting, optimization, and ROI reporting
• Oversee the organic social media calendar, content, messaging, and brand voice
• Manage website content, SEO, digital updates, and coordination with Marriott and other digital partners
• Develop monthly marketing performance reports and dashboards for leadership
• Develop and manage the annual events and programming calendar for The Rookery, lāk, and public spaces
• Coordinate seasonal activations, live music, wellness programming, holiday events, special experiences, and promotional partnerships
• Partner with F&B and Culinary leadership to create food, beverage, and experiential offerings that support programming and drive incremental revenue
• Manage event ticketing and reservation platforms and coordinate marketing logistics for successful event execution
• Track event performance and revenue contribution and use results to improve future programming
• Build relationships with local, regional, tourism, and hospitality media
• Develop press releases, media pitches, story ideas, and communications around property news and events
• Coordinate media and influencer visits and manage content opportunities and usage rights.
• Plan and direct photo and video shoots for campaigns, events, F&B launches, and seasonal initiatives
• Maintain an organized content library to support Marketing, Sales, Catering, F&B, and digital needs
• Write and edit guest-facing copy for websites, menus, email, social media, signage, and marketing collateral
• Ensure consistent brand standards across all guest-facing marketing, collateral, digital channels, signage, and on-property experiences
• Partner with Sales, F&B, Guest Services, Banquets, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure marketing campaigns and promoted experiences are executed accurately
• Work with Guest Services and Front Office leadership to identify guest feedback and review trends that can inform marketing and guest communications
• Support Sales and Catering with marketing collateral, presentations, positioning materials, and campaign support
• Represent Marketing in leadership and departmental meetings, providing performance updates and identifying opportunities or potential brand risks
• Ensure marketing materials and on-property collateral meet applicable Marriott Brand Standards and audit requirements
Qualifications
• 3-5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality, F&B, live entertainment/events, lifestyle brands, or a similar guest-facing environment
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, paid media, email, and other channels
• Experience managing paid media budgets and measuring campaign performance and ROI
• Strong writing, editing, communication, and storytelling skills with a strong eye for brand voice and visual consistency
• Comfortable being both a strategist and a doer-someone who can develop the campaign strategy and be on-site directing the shoot or supporting the event
• Experience working cross-functionally in an operations-heavy environment such as a hotel, restaurant, venue, resort, or entertainment property strongly preferred
• Experience with event programming, experiential marketing, public relations, or live events preferred
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, events, vendors, and deadlines
• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics/Looker Studio or similar reporting tools, and Eventbrite or comparable event platforms
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn marketing and event performance data into actionable decisions
• Highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on hospitality environment
• Willingness to be highly visible on property and actively involved in events, content shoots, guest experiences, and cross-departmental initiatives
Background screening is required for this position. You will receive a message requesting authorization.
