As a Product-Led Growth (PLG) Lifecycle Marketing Manager for AWS AI Developer Tools, you will have the opportunity to define and drive the developer acquisition and lifecycle marketing strategy for our rapidly growing AI-powered developer tools portfolio. You will own the digital strategy for the developer journey from first touch through activation and conversion, creating the most compelling content and automated lifecycle programs to help developers understand the value of our tools and move through the adoption funnel. You will design and optimize in-product and cross-channel lifecycle moments that drive developers from top of funnel to product value. You will also work with the engineering teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features informed by funnel data and developer behavior signals. You will get to work on a new and rapidly growing business and have a big impact every day.

As a Marketing Manager for AI Developer Tools, you will own and execute marketing programs that drive developer awareness and adoption of AWS's AI-powered development tools. You will lead product-led growth lifecycle marketing efforts that support developer acquisition, guiding developers from discovery through activation and paid conversion via data-driven, automated engagement programs. You will develop developer-centric content and campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels, translating complex AI and developer tooling concepts into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with technical audiences. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, developer relations, demand generation, events, and field teams to deliver integrated marketing programs that drive measurable business results.
Key job responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize automated lifecycle marketing programs (email, in-product messaging, nurture sequences) that move developers through the adoption journey
Define and instrument activation milestones in partnership with product and data science teams
Analyze developer lifecycle cohort behavior, identify friction points, and run experiments to improve conversion rates at each stage of the funnel
Develop and execute marketing campaigns across channels (web, email, social, community, paid) that drive awareness and adoption among developers building with AI
Create compelling developer-facing content (blog posts, tutorials, landing pages, videos, webinars, social content) that communicates the value of our AI developer tools
Own channel performance metrics and continuously optimize campaigns based on data and developer engagement signals
Support marketing presence at developer events, conferences, and community moments, including content development for keynotes, breakout sessions, and workshops
Collaborate with demand generation, field marketing, and developer relations teams to build integrated programs that move developers through the adoption funnel
Build and grow a bench of referenceable developers and advocates whose success stories can be leveraged across field sales, events, and demand generation to accelerate acquisition
Partner with product and marketing growth teams to optimize the product-to-sales handoff, ensuring product usage signals translate into effective sales engagement
A day in the life
* Partner with product management and GTM teams to develop product and portfolio-level strategies
* Create and own positioning and messaging that clearly articulates value propositions to developer and technical decision-maker audiences
* Analyze and synthesize market data from multiple sources (including direct customer feedback) to identify product opportunities and shape portfolio strategy
* Lead product launch strategies and associated plans, including naming, target audience definition, and marketing vehicles
* Develop technical content including presentations, demonstrations, and reference architectures that educate developers on AWS agentic AI and developer tools offerings
* Represent AWS as a technical evangelist in executive briefings, industry events, and analyst interactions
* Drive field enablement strategies to support product launches, campaigns, and customer success
* Align with technical and business leaders on primary agentic AI development use cases for their specific ideal customer profiles; define best practice workflows and tooling recommendations for each use case

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience producing marketing promotional material for Owned & Operated channels

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
