Job description

Your Role

The Adventure Center Manager is responsible for leading the resort's Adventure Center and creating memorable, safe, and seamless experiences for guests exploring Jackson Hole and the surrounding area. This is a highly visible, guest-facing leadership position. The manager is expected to spend the majority of their working time at the Adventure Desk, actively engaging with guests and supporting the team, rather than working primarily from a back office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regularly review and optimize experience pricing, packaging, availability, and merchandising based on seasonality, guest demand, partner updates, competitive positioning, and resort objectives.
  • Expand the number of experiences available for guests to discover and book online before arrival, reducing reliance on in-person booking at the Adventure Desk while maintaining personalized onsite support.
  • Communicate all new offerings, partner additions, pricing changes, availability updates, and experience optimizations to the Regional Marketing counterpart so that all guest-facing channels and materials remain accurate and aligned.
  • Build relationships with local outfitters, guides, transportation providers, recreation companies, and community partners.
  • Ensure recommendations and reservations are personalized based on guest interests, abilities, schedules, and expectations.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and resolve concerns before they impact guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain current knowledge of weather, trail conditions, road conditions, seasonal closures, local events, and recreational opportunities.
  • Oversee operations of Alley Oop, including scheduling the Adventure Center team to oversee the outlet and duckpin bowling.
  • Develop and execute programming during apres hours and holiday periods.
  • Attend meetings as requested, including Basecamp Briefing, Weekly Labor Meeting, Resume Meetings, and other operational meetings.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop Adventure Center Guides and team members.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate resort activities, weather conditions, transportation needs, VIP arrivals, safety information, and operational priorities.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for service, attendance, appearance, safety, and productivity standards.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on teamwork, engagement, and exceptional guest service.
  • Provide ongoing training in destination knowledge, guest engagement, activity recommendations, equipment use, transportation procedures, safety, and Way.co platform processes.
  • Ensure all team members authorized to operate company vehicles meet required licensing, training, insurance, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor vehicle cleanliness, condition, fuel levels, maintenance needs, and required documentation.
  • Promote safe transportation practices and immediately report vehicle incidents, damage, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a safety-first environment for guests and employees participating in Adventure Center activities.
  • Ensure activities are conducted within established resort policies, park requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections of Adventure Center areas, equipment, vehicles, and recreational assets.
  • Ensure employees understand emergency procedures, incident reporting requirements, and escalation protocols.
  • Monitor weather and environmental conditions and modify, delay, or cancel activities when conditions create an unreasonable safety risk.
  • Maintain required waivers, releases, inspection records, and other documentation associated with recreational activities.
  • Maintain flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of hospitality, recreation, outdoor adventure, concierge, guest services, or related experience preferred.
