Qualifications*

Experience

  • 1 verifiable year of tractor / trailer driving within the last 3 years or
  • 2 verifiable years of tractor / trailer driving within the last 5 years

General Requirements

  • Must hold a current and valid CDL Class A for interstate driving
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Truck age must be no greater than 10 years old
  • No more than 6 DOT employers in the last 1 year (excludes temp jobs, gig jobs, and 3rd party or payroll companies vs main company)
  • Must pass a DOT medical exam conducted by a Hub Group approved physician or current medical card valid for >90 days
  • Must pass drug testing requirements
  • 0 DUI/DWI or equivalent convictions in the last 10 years
  • No violations of non-DOT or DOT drug or alcohol testing, or refusal to test, in the last 10 years
  • Drivers terminated from a driving job for accidents will first need to run accident and violation free for 6 months with another carrier

Accidents

  • No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
  • No DOT preventable accidents in the last 5 years

Moving Violations

  • No violation for driving a CMV without a valid CDL in the last 5 years
  • No speeding violation of 25 mph or above in the last 3 years
  • No more than 2 moving violation in the last 3 years
  • No more than 3 moving violation in the last 5 years
  • No more than 1 of these violation types in the last 3 years:
  • Speeding 15 mph or more above posted speed limit
  • Reckless or careless driving
  • Improper or erratic lane change
  • Following too close
  • Failure to stop for sign or signal device
  • Any conviction involving the use of a handheld device

NOTE: Warnings are not considered violations

NOTE: The date of the moving violation is utilized for the criteria above

License Suspensions

  • No convictions for driving a CMV on a suspended license in the last 5 years
  • Non-Safety: Child support/insurance (we do not count these)
  • Safety: No more than (1) in the last 12 months and no more than (3) in the last 5 months
