About the Opportunity

ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Business Analyst to support a large-scale Learning Management System (LMS) transformation for a major global industrial and building-technology organization.
You will partner with Learning & Development, Technology, Operations, and LMS vendors to define requirements, evaluate current processes, design future-state solutions, and coordinate functional testing. This role bridges business and technical teams and is critical to a successful LMS transition.
What You’ll Do:
  • Gather, document, and maintain business requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Analyze current workflows and conduct time studies to identify process-improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to design and implement scalable solutions.
  • Develop and execute functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Validate system functionality, track defects, and support issue resolution.
  • Assist with data validation, migration activities, and implementation readiness.
  • Support development of operational processes and standard work for the future LMS environment.
  • Support change readiness across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience implementing, administering, or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS) or a comparable enterprise platform.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience developing and executing functional and UAT plans.
  • Strong process-mapping and business-process-improvement skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements for technical teams.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior LMS transformation or enterprise software deployment experience.
  • Experience identifying automation opportunities in L&D / HR administration processes.
  • Experience working with LMS vendors during implementation.
