Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team on the 2nd shift. This role is responsible for ensuring fabricated products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry quality standards through visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting blueprints, inspecting welds, using precision measuring equipment, and maintaining accurate quality documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections to ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Inspect welds using knowledge of weld symbols, welding gauges, and WPS documentation.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools and inspection equipment, such as calipers and micrometers, effectively.
  • Maintain and document quality inspection records accurately.
  • Identify and document quality issues precisely.
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of communication and teamwork.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ year of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or manufacturing inspection experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of weld symbols, welding gauges, and WPS documentation.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and document quality issues accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • UT (Ultrasonic Testing) and MT (Magnetic Particle Testing) experience preferred.
  • NDT classroom training and documented OJT hours preferred.
  • Experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing preferred.
