Job Description

Join our team as Coffee Shop Supervisor and become one of the authors of our story.

The  Supervisor of Gavel will lead the team of baristas on a daily basis. They will support the team in all duties and emphasize guest satisfaction.  These individuals will be responsible for opening and closing duties, as well as managing inventory, placing orders when needed, and overseeing DOH guidelines.  The supervisor will be key to efficiently and effectively creating a smooth operation. 

Key Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Provide coaching and training to the barista team. 

  • Ensures all SOP’s are abided by on a daily basis. 

  • Ensure that our customers have positive interactions and are consistently served delicious coffee to our quality standards

  • Follows and directs the team on all service standards, merchandising and cleanliness standards.

  • Prepare quality coffee and non-coffee beverages with the use of an espresso machine, pour over  and other equipment as needed. Prepares food items according to recipes. 

  • Ensures guests are served quickly, courteously, and efficiently. 

  • Ensures that team members are trained on products at the shop and can discuss the 

  • Be proactive within the team to anticipate needs, prevent problems, and maintain smooth operations

  • Help keep the coffee shop clean and beautiful space

  • Have clear and concise communication with the service and management team. 

  • Answer any questions that the guest may have concerning any items from the counter. 

  • Be a guide to the guest. 

  • Confirm that  items are always stocked in the shop.

The starting range for this position is $30.00 per hour. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Current Food Handler’s Card (within 30 days of Hire)

  • RBS Training Required (within 30 days of Hire)

  • 1 year of previous supervisor experience.

  • Demonstrates the ability to lead by example, communicate effectively, and provide excellent customer service

  • Basic computer skills are required. 

  • Must have attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and be well organized.

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Team-oriented

  • Initiative & follow through

Preferred Qualifications

  • Needs to have previous hospitality experience. 

  • Education: Have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
