Event Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ | On-SiteSchedule: Full-Time | Flexible Schedule Based on EventsSalary: $60,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience
About The Driver Provider
Founded in 1997, The Driver Provider is a premier provider of chauffeured transportation services for individual, corporate and event clients. Our Meetings & Events team partners with event planners, destination management companies, corporate travel professionals and other clients to design and execute transportation programs for meetings, conventions, weddings and special events.
We are looking for an experienced, client-focused professional who enjoys managing complex projects, building strong relationships and seeing an event through from the first conversation to successful onsite execution.
Position Summary
The Event Transportation Manager owns the planning and execution of transportation programs for assigned meetings, groups and events.
This role combines client relationship management, event planning and transportation logistics. You will work directly with clients to understand their needs, develop transportation solutions, prepare proposals and manage event details while partnering closely with our Operations team to ensure successful execution.
When your events are operating, you may also serve as an onsite transportation lead, making real-time decisions and ensuring the experience delivered matches what was promised.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, confident communicating with clients and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces without losing sight of the details.
What You'll Do
  • Manage assigned client accounts, groups and events from initial inquiry through final execution
  • Consult with clients to understand transportation needs, schedules, guest expectations and event requirements
  • Design transportation plans in partnership with Operations and other internal teams
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts and other client-facing materials
  • Maintain accurate event manifests, reservations and transportation details
  • Conduct site visits and walkthroughs when needed to prepare for event execution
  • Coordinate vehicle, chauffeur and logistical requirements with Operations
  • Lead or support onsite transportation operations for assigned events
  • Monitor active events and respond quickly to schedule changes, client requests and unexpected operational challenges
  • Maintain regular, professional communication with clients throughout the planning process
  • Participate in client calls, video meetings and planning sessions
  • Review event details and confirmations to ensure accuracy before execution
  • Partner across departments to ensure client expectations and operational requirements are clearly communicated
  • Maintain accurate documentation and event information within company systems
  • Conduct post-event follow-up and identify opportunities to strengthen future programs and client relationships
  • Deliver the high level of service expected from The Driver Provider throughout every stage of the client experience

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in event management, hospitality, transportation, account management or another client-facing service environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client relationship and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in real time
  • Professional presence and confidence working directly with clients and event professionals
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Strong sense of ownership, follow-through and accountability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and work comfortably within transportation, event and business technology platforms

Experience with large-scale events, conventions, destination management, group transportation or chauffeured transportation is strongly preferred.
Schedule & Availability
Events do not always happen during traditional business hours, and this position requires flexibility.
The Event Transportation Manager will maintain a full-time, five-day work schedule based on business and event needs. Evening and weekend availability is required when assigned groups or events are operating, including onsite work when appropriate.
Schedules will be coordinated in advance whenever possible to balance operational requirements with a sustainable work schedule.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
