Job description

Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) - DeSoto Memorial Hospital has an opening for a Fulltime Speech-Language Pathologist with a focus on inpatient adult evaluations and outpatient pediatric care in our Arcadia office.
 
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
  • Provide direct therapy services to patients across age groups (pediatric, adult, or geriatric as applicable).
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment strategies, home exercises, and communication techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care coordination.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
