Job description

Responsibilities

The Desktop Support / Infrastructure specialist will provide day-to-day and advanced technical support for Related Ross.  This role is responsible for ensuring the stable operation and support of the IT network, of all AV/Presentation equipment, and of all users’ PCs and peripherals, which include planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing hardware, software, and communication platforms.   This role will sit in West Palm Beach and report to the Senior Director of IT, and assist our remote IT support teams with hardware and software installations and troubleshooting. This role will be in a fast-paced environment, across multiple offices, with low supervision and the candidate is expected to be self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive level customer support (including senior management) across multiple offices.
  • Interact with all Related Ross employees and act as point of escalation for all troubleshooting and support on all IT matters.
  • Assume ownership of customer related incidents whether completing resolution oneself or by consulting with, monitoring, and following up with IT colleagues and/or outside vendors to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide on-site coverage during normal business hours as well as on-call support, which could occur before/after normal working hours.
  • Asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, printers, all video conferencing equipment, desk and conference phones and other hardware items.
  • Assist with managing network hardware, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs to ensure network connectivity of all workstations.
  • Execute successful IT onboarding experiences for all new employees: configuring equipment, partner with other IT colleagues to ensure network accounts are active, installing necessary software, setting up workstations, providing hands on IT Support as needed.
  • Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices.
  • Support network design and assist with network maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with managing network connectivity of all workstations including but not limited to CCTV, access control, radio system, video management system, security turnstiles, elevator interfaces, voice/data cable infrastructure.  Clear understanding of building plans, infrastructure and equipment that serve both base building and tenants in the areas of communication and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate and manage technological installations for property management, engineering and onsite security departments, and provide support as necessary
  • Ensure tenant adherence to property Rules and Regulations and local/federal codes and directives
  • Work in collaboration to assist the Site IT Management to manage the IT telecommunications and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain written record of all tenant requests
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Must have technical experience supporting teams of at least 100 employees.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to successfully handle conflict and be able to maintain calm in stressful situations
  • Proactive mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective listening and follow up skills.
  • Good working and technical knowledge of systems administration, networking, systems and network security.
  • Good working knowledge of workstation and server operating systems, server tools and utilities, and server data backup and restore.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • One or more of the following preferred: ITIL, Microsoft, network certification such as Network+ or CCNA.
