Desktop Support Intern

The Texas Rangers are seeking a Desktop Support Intern to join our team! This role will support the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology department by assisting with technical support, device deployment, asset management, and event-related technology needs.

This full-time, year-long internship offers hands-on experience in enterprise IT operations, providing support to staff both on-site and remotely. It is an excellent opportunity for college seniors or recent graduates looking to gain practical, real-world experience in IT support and operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Assist the IT Operations team with setting up laptops for new hires and configuring workspaces for employees.
  • Assist with the collection, inventory, and auditing of organizational IT equipment for Texas Rangers/REV Entertainment.
  • Provide technical support to employees both in the office and remotely, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Support and troubleshoot technology used during games and events, including printers, ticket pedestals, handheld devices, and suite readers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (seniors or recent graduates preferred).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong interest in IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
