Job Summary

The Access Services Department is currently seeking a Temporary Guest Services Desk Assistant to join their team of professionals.

Duties include:

  • Creates guest passes using the online operating system for visitors and FIU affiliates as needed.
  • Assists guests with general questions, provides information, and gives directions.
  • Remain alert to activity at turnstiles.
  • Monitor for any violations of the turnstile rules.
  • Experience with customer service Support projects appropriate to the department functions.
  • Assist with planning, development, and implementation of department projects.
  • Assist with monthly reports for department projects.
  • Work with relevant specialized software programs.
  • Assist Access Services or other library departments if needed.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of PC operations and software.
  • Possess a high sense of responsibility and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships and work well in a team environment.
