Job description

Technical Designer - Outerwear

We are seeking an immediately available Technical Designer with 6+ years of experience, preferably in women's outerwear. This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly detail-oriented, organized, and confident managing the technical design process from fittings through final approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in fittings with design and cross-functional teams; take detailed notes and track all updates
  • Measure proto and pre-production samples to ensure accuracy against specs
  • Update tech packs and prepare clear, accurate fit comments and corrections
  • Communicate directly with vendors and factories regarding fit, construction, and sample updates
  • Manage sample tracking and help ensure timelines are met throughout the development process
  • Maintain consistency in garment specs, construction details, and product quality

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Technical Design experience
  • Must have outerwear experience; women's outerwear preferred
  • Strong experience participating in fittings and updating technical packages
  • Proven ability to handle vendor communication and sample tracking
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Illustrator
