Job description

Tired of reading these employment ads and wondering where the RIGHT opportunity is for you? Here are the simple reasons you WANT to work at Pluckers.
We have among the best pay and benefits in the restaurant business:
  • Our health insurance is among the best in the industry and we cover 100% of health, dental and vision for corporate office employees.
  • 15 paid vacation/personal days off every year, plus paid holidays!
  • Free meals at Pluckers - a $650 value each quarter!
  • An invitation to our annual parties including a first-class trip every January to places like New Orleans, Miami or Las Vegas.

Pluckers is based in Austin and has finished in the Top 25 Businesses Overall to Work for five times by the Austin Business Journal.
The mission of the Graphic Designer role is simple: make Pluckers look as good as it tastes. Think bold, eye-catching design that stops thumbs on social, grabs attention on a menu, and makes people crave wings the second they see it. You'll turn strategy into visuals that are sharp, fun, a little unexpected in the best way, and unmistakably Pluckers - built to drive real brand love and real sales, not just likes.
The Graphic Designer is a core piece of our in-house marketing crew, turning campaigns, promos, game-day hype, and everyday brand moments into graphics people actually stop and look at. This role is heavy on graphic design - for social, print, in-store, and more - and you'll own it from first sketch to final file. Bottom line: what you make is how Pluckers looks everywhere it shows up.
This role needs someone with the creativity to design new content from scratch, but who's also not above rolling up their sleeves for quick edits and tweaks to work that already exists - big swings and small fixes both matter here. You'll collaborate closely with fellow marketing team members like our Social Media Manager, Events and Entertainment Coordinator, and Video Team, and you'll produce content for multiple departments across the company, so range and reliability both go a long way.
Above all, we're looking for someone who wants to get better every single day and actually welcomes feedback instead of dreading it. Self-motivated, easygoing, hardworking - someone who brings good energy to the team and takes the work (but not themselves) seriously.
A portfolio is required for consideration. Please include a link on your resume.
Responsibilities:
  • Producing a variety of visual designs including photoshopped composite designs, social media content, website carousel images, flyers, vinyl banners, in-store permanent signage, digital ads and more.
  • Producing hand-crafted illustrative elements and designs to be used in a variety of visual components.
  • Managing production and printing of items such as floor charts, flyers and announcements, banners, store signage, coupons, event materials and additional requests from the marketing department as well as other departments.
  • Swapping out web and app images and updating marketing blog posts
  • Manage project assignments and progress via Monday.com
  • Working with Senior Graphic Designer on special projects as needed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Some working knowledge of CSS and HTML
  • Can successfully collaborate with non-creatives
  • Ability to prioritize and execute short-term and long-term projects simultaneously
  • Good sense of typography, color theory and layout
  • Able to optimize graphics for both print and web
  • Able to prepare design files for use by professional printers
  • Able to use AI and automation to set up processes for repeatable tasks.

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Communication Design
  • Photography
  • Understanding of front-end web design
  • Experience with the Webflow platform
  • Videography
  • Experience with professional audio equipment and microphones

Hours & Work Environment
  • Full-time in office. Monday - Friday normal working hours.
  • This is not a remote position. Must be able to work in-office daily in Austin, TX. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.

Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 /yr depending on experience
