Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Mammography Technologist will utilize equipment which produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. The Mammography Technologist will perform Mammography and DEXA studies. The Mammography Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and designated PACS system. May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Mammography Technologist will utilize equipment which produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
  • The Mammography Technologist will perform Mammography and DEXA studies.
  • The Mammography Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and designated PACS system.
  • May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties.
Per Diem Mammography Technologist I

  • Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Mammography Technologist will utilize equipment which produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
  • The Mammography Technologist will perform Mammography and DEXA studies.
  • The Mammography Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and designated PACS system.
  • May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties.
  • The Mammography Technologist will perform Mammography and DEXA studies, in addition to general radiographic studies, fluoroscopic studies, ASC procedures, and/or SCNB procedures.

Required Qualifications (All Levels)
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program. 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT and 25 supervised exams to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers.
  • ARRT (R) MRT-General Certificate
  • Employee must attain ARRT(M) within one year of eligibility
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • Experience using Microsoft. Working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

For Per Diem Mammography Technologist II:

  • ARRT (R)(M) MRT-General Certificate
  • 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers
  • 2+ years of experience in mammography or 1-year KSC experience in. X-ray and/or SCNB experience
  • PACS and RIS experience
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
