Job description

RF/Microwave Design EngineerDesign state-of-the-art RF/microwave components, modules, front-ends, and SiP's using 3DGS innovative glass technology. Responsible for solving major and complex engineering problems in one or more phases of a developmental project involving analysis, research design, development, fabrication and/or testing of a device or system. You will own end-to-end RF/microwave designs from initial definition through production. The candidate selected must have the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign integrated passive devices such as filters, multiplexers, couplers, and baluns.Design substrate integrated waveguide components, including filters, transitions, packages, and antennas.Design high-frequency interposers for MMICs, including internal matching and transmission lines.Perform circuit and electromagnetic simulations, including advanced optimization and tuning techniques. Desired experience with multi-technology assembly and circuit-EM co-simulation.Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide expert guidance on microwave solutions.Create test procedures, technical white papers, and participate in technical proposal writing.Interface with manufacturing to ensure new designs meet design rules and achieve good performance, yields, and reliability.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.Help establish technology roadmap and lead key internal development projects.Perform additional functions and other duties as assigned or required.RequirementsMaster's degree in electrical engineering or related field, or PhD preferred5 years of RF/microwave design experience. 10 years preferred.Ability to travel, if required.This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR and CUI controlled information, and employees in these roles will need to meet those requirements. Requirements may include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident, or the ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProven microwave experience 30-100+ GHz. Highly desired to have previous waveguide design experience.In-depth understanding of microwave theory, electromagnetic principles, active/passive RF device modeling, and RF circuit design.Expert proficiency using industry standard electromagnetic simulation tools (ADS, AWR, HFSS, CST).Proven track record of successful product development.
