Job description

As Director of Product Design, you’ll lead a talented team in shaping the future of our industry‑leading work execution platform. You’ll guide the user experience (UX) strategy, build a thriving design team, and collaborate across the company to create innovative solutions.

You are a leader and a coach who inspires excellence. You have 12+ years of experience managing UX teams and a passion for human‑centered design. You’re an expert in design thinking, prototyping, and user research, with a strong track record of success.

Here’s what you’ll do:
  • Set the vision and strategy for Smartsheet’s user experience
  • Lead and mentor a team of UX designers
  • Develop clear goals and metrics for design decisions
  • Build and improve UX processes, standards, and tools
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to deliver exceptional features
We’re looking for someone with:
  • 12+ years of experience in a cross‑functional design leadership role
  • 6+ years leading and mentoring UX teams (managing managers a plus)
  • Experience designing for enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Strong visual design skills and expertise in design tools (Figma, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A passion for user experience and a drive to make a difference
