Job description

In the role of Senior Project Architect, you’ll be a key contributor to that mission, helping shape projects, teams, and experiences that truly make a difference.

The Senior Project Architect will lead the preparation of architectural construction documents. Coordinate activities and review the work of mechanical, electrical and interior departments, as well as outsource consultants (structural and civil). Demonstrate a strong passion for construction documents and building detailing. Support BIM management across the studio.

GENERAL SKILLS
  • Well versed knowledge of building codes and accessibility codes
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Proficiency in Speclink preferred
  • Experience with multi-story buildings
  • Proficiency in Procore
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare working drawings
  • Coordinate with the Design Architect on the design of the project.
  • Coordinate with Project Executives, Marketing and Business Development on project delivery
  • Project design lead in client design meetings
  • Coordinate with local project AHJ’s
  • Prepare clarification of project development documents
  • Assist in preparation of Contract Change Orders
  • Assist checking shop drawings
  • Make field trips as necessary to verify information
  • Coordinate with engineering and specifications
  • Assist in the preparation in specifications
  • Be knowledgeable on application of building regulations to projects
  • Function as detailer to the extent necessary to complete projects on schedule and within budget
  • Perform all other related work, as assigned or as apparent
  • Assist Design Studio Head in mentoring junior staff
EXPECTATIONS
  • Travel as required
  • Supports the Director of Production in the coordination of multiple projects simultaneously
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES
  • Architectural License required
  • NCARB certification preferred
  • Multiple State Architectural Licenses preferred
  • 10 years of professional experience in commercial architecture required
  • LEED AP credential preferred
