Job description

AGC Glass Company North America, located in Bellefontaine, Ohio, fabricates high-quality automotive safety glass for automobile manufacturers located in the United States and abroad. We are searching for individuals who want to join our fast-paced, high-tech, team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control systems and processes.

Conduct audits and testing to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Identify areas for improvement in the production process, reducing defects and enhancing quality.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.

Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance documentation, including process flows, inspection reports, and corrective actions.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with Specialization in Operations Management, Engineering Management, Quality Management, or a closely related field.

Master's degree in quality management or related may be preferred.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or a related field.

Working knowledge of automotive standards and regulations (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VOA, APQP).

Experience with process improvement and problem-solving methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, or similar tools.

Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with standards.

Experience with quality control software tools and techniques, Minitab, or similar software.

Working knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

Working knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

Working knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)

Working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control)

Working knowledge of MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis).

Technical Skills

Working Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product design, and materials.

Strong understanding of problem-solving, statistical analysis, quality metrics, and performance indicators.

Ability to perform testing and inspections of materials, products, and processes.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and quality management tools like ERP systems or SAP.

Working knowledge of CAD and engineering drawing interpretation can be an added advantage.

Proficiency with OEM Portals is a plus.
