Job description

The Senior Staff Product Designer will drive the design of innovative, user-centered experiences across Epsilon's global advertising and marketing technology platforms. Operating with a high degree of autonomy and broad organizational influence, you'll define the approach to the most significant and complex design challenges, navigating deep ambiguity, shaping product direction, and delivering solutions that hold up across a shared platform used by many teams. You bring a modern design sensibility that embraces AI as a tool for accelerating ideation and validation, while applying the rigor and systems thinking required at scale. You'll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and data teams as a senior design voice, setting a high bar for quality, influencing how work gets done across teams, and helping the organization think more clearly about experience. This role is ideal for a deeply experienced designer who leads through expertise, builds lasting cross-functional partnerships, and knows how to drive alignment without relying on formal authority.
Responsibilities
  • Define and own the design approach for the highest-impact, most complex product initiatives, problems where the path forward requires evaluation of intangibles and independent expert judgment
  • Apply seasoned judgment in selecting and adapting UX methods and techniques: wireframes, sitemaps, user flows, scenarios, data diagrams, and prototypes, matching approach to problem type and organizational context
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate early-stage ideation, rapid concept exploration, and idea validation, while synthesizing qualitative and quantitative signals across ambiguous situations into clear, well-reasoned design direction
  • Shape and evolve design principles and patterns in alignment with multi-year product vision, including how AI capabilities are changing user expectations and interaction models
  • Create and maintain formal cross-functional networks, coordinating across product, engineering, data science, legal, and other design teams to align on experience goals and drive complex work forward
  • Set the standard for platform-minded design, ensuring solutions are coherent, extensible, and consistent with a shared design system across multiple teams and product areas
  • Serve as a quality anchor and thought partner for the broader design organization, anticipating emerging user needs and organizational design challenges before they become problems, and connecting long-horizon UX thinking to business outcomes

Qualifications
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field with:
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Product Design / User Experience, with a track record of operating at a senior individual contributor level
  • Experience delivering within Lean, Agile, or Scrum environments across large, complex, cross-functional product organizations
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating design leadership on complex, data-intensive platforms (advertising technology, finance, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment on significant, uniquely difficult problems where no obvious playbook exists
  • Proven ability to build and coordinate formal cross-functional networks to drive alignment and move work forward

Why you might stand out from other talent:
  • Skilled in translating complex data and AI-driven experiences into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces at platform scale
  • Familiar with identity resolution and designing for trust, transparency, and compliance
  • Actively uses AI tools for generative building, rapid prototyping assistants, and LLM-aided research synthesis. This helps you move faster in early phases while maintaining rigor to validate and stress-test outputs before committing to a direction.
  • Understands the difference between using AI to accelerate the work and using it to bypass it
  • Brings intentionality and a clear point of view to when and how AI fits into the design process
  • Comfortable working across product, data science, and engineering, to balance innovation with feasibility
  • Deep understanding of enterprise user needs in marketing and analytics contexts
  • Experience crafting within dedication marketing platforms such as dedication programs based on customer data, points and rewards systems, or customer retention tools, with an understanding of how engagement mechanics and member lifecycle stages build UX decisions
  • Track record of navigating platform consolidations, org shifts, and large-scale product transformation as a senior individual practitioner and informal design leader
