Job description

Charles Taylor Safety Solutions is seeking a Project Manager in Detroit, MI.
1099 Contract position.
Project details:
  • 40 hours week
  • 7-month contract
  • Working with our client on-site as a project engineer for a ground-up commercial construction project for a large industrial facility.
  • Previous experience as a field engineer on large commercial projects.
  • Degree in Engineering or previous experience as QA/QC, Project engineer or Project Manager. QCM certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Reports: Prepare and submit daily reports to track project progress, challenges, and milestones.
  • QA/QC Inspections: Conduct regular QA/QC inspections to ensure all work meets specified standards and complies with project requirements.
  • Safety Inspections: Perform safety inspections in accordance with OSHA regulations (OSHA 30 certification required) to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Schedule Inspections: Coordinate and schedule inspections with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
  • Punch Lists: Manage the development and execution of punch lists to address outstanding issues before project handover.
  • Design Enforcement: Enforce design specifications by thoroughly understanding and interpreting structural, architectural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC practices and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Must have a smartphone and be comfortable using email and digital communication.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings effectively.
