Job description

The Project Manager supports Enterprise Electrical’s operations by leading commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The Project Manager 3 serves as a primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and trade partners, while providing leadership, oversight, and accountability across all phases of project execution.

Enterprise Electrical is a fast-growing commercial electrical contractor based in Houston, Texas, specializing in design build projects. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assume primary project leadership responsibilities in partnership with internal teams and project personnel.
  • Evaluate contractual scope of work and establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in alignment with Enterprise Electrical guidelines.
  • Plan, organize, and staff key project positions through coordination with superintendents and subordinate project management staff.
  • Initiate and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate, prepare, and issue purchase order and subcontracts.
  • Monitor and control construction progress through administrative oversight of on site supervision.
  • Develop, issue, and maintain master project schedules to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage all financial aspects of projects including cost control, billings, collections, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Identify and manage project risks by proactively addressing issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure all project documentation and controls comply with contract requirements and Enterprise Electrical standards.
  • Supervise and mentor other project managers and assistant project managers when assigned.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by leadership or as project needs require.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years of previous experience in construction, finance, or project management
Experience Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing commercial electrical construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $500,000 to $3,000,000.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction design, finance, scheduling, and project management practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of construction design, project finance, and management principles
  • Knowledge of corporate and industry standards, practices, and processes
  • Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships while meeting project objectives
  • Strong project planning skills including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and maximize performance
  • OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within six months of hire
  • Ability to meet all jobsite access requirements with no outstanding restrictions
