PROJECT MANAGER


Overview

This role will align client objectives and ensure the successful delivery of profitable and high-quality projects. They will manage projects from concept through completion. As the management lead for the assigned projects, they will oversee all aspects as a key team member.


Responsibilities


Project Leadership

  • Responsible for leading and owning the management of small and medium-sized projects of limited complexity.
  • Responsible for actively and regularly partnering with project design and technical leaders to execute the project, coordinate resources, and integrate inputs from inception to completion.
  • Participate as a leading project team member in all aspects of the project scope—informing the work plan, supporting design, complying with jurisdictional requirements, leading and producing content for all documentation phases, overseeing construction administration services, and coordinating with outside consultants.

Planning & Scheduling:

  • Creating the Work Plan (including appropriate staffing requirements).
  • Developing Project Schedule (aligned with work plan).
  • Identifying and contacting the necessary Consultants.
  • Coordinate all administrative, design, and technical project efforts to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Work with leadership regarding staffing and project planning. Serve as a primary client and consultant contact.

Budget & Financial Management

  • Assist in developing proposals and informing the scope & fee in project pursuits.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the project; proactively develop concrete plans to mitigate loss where applicable
  • Ad Services: Understand contracts, accurately and proactively identify scope that differs or exceeds Vocon’s agreement, and promptly convey this additional scope to the client.
  • Ad Services: Develop additional service requests and negotiate additional fees with the client before the work commences.
  • Actively monitor client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks and project team assignments.
  • Manage client expectations and consultant coordination to complete the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to the clients’ satisfaction.
  • Actively manage project dynamics, manage risk and proactively maintain alignment with scope.
  • Work closely with Finance & Accounting to comply with Vocon project delivery standards and execute billing promptly.
  • Prepare strategic project plans for project success.
  • Specialized strength in management execution, knowledge of the whole design process, competent in all conventional aspects of interior design and/or architecture.
  • Proven experience in all phases of design services.

  • Work with Finance to monitor outstanding accounts receivable.



Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program.
  • Five plus years of commercial architecture/design experience and management experience.
