Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Bridge Manager for employment in the Seattle, WA. office.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepares technical specification sections.
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • WA State PE
  • Possess SE license or ability to pass SE exam within one year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
  • 8+ years of bridge design and plan development experience
  • Project experience in Washington State related to state and/or local bridge design project work with seismic and inelastic analysis and design.
  • Proficiency in software such as MicroStation, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, PTC MathCAD, CSiBridge and/or MIDAS Civil.
  • Experience leading a staff of engineers and CAD personnel.
  • Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
  • Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
  • Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes
  • Ability to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel.
