DRMP is seeking a Roadway Design Project Manager to join our Atlanta team and drive innovative roadway solutions across Georgia. If you're a licensed PE with a passion for infrastructure and a knack for leading multidisciplinary teams, this role offers the chance to shape communities, mentor talent, and grow your career in a purpose-driven environment.
 
ELIGIBLE FOR SIGN ON BONUS AND RELOCATION ASSISTANCE 


Your Primary Responsibilities will include
  • As a Project Manager, you’ll lead the planning, design, and execution of roadway improvement projects for state, county, and municipal clients across Georgia. Your portfolio may include:
    • New location corridors
    • Roadway widening
    • Bicycle and pedestrian facilities
    • Highway safety enhancements
    • Intersections and interchanges
    • Design-build projects. 
  • You’ll guide projects through all phases—from advanced planning to final design and construction support—while collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, on-budget solutions.
    Key Responsibilities
  • Overall management of transportation infrastructure improvement projects of varying complexity across Georgia.
  • Provide professional engineering design services for transportation improvement projects.
  • Oversee development of construction plans, specifications, estimates and detailed engineering calculations.
  • Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Direct and mentor design support staff, fostering technical growth and alignment.
  • Conduct engineering investigations and feasibility analyses using collected data.
  • Evaluate alternative design solutions and contribute to critical decision-making.

What you'll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Georgia PE license.
  • 10-15+ years of roadway design experience, GDOT experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO and State DOT design standards.
  • Management acumen including budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction and staff management.
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, partners and your team members.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to team success.
