Job description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative Interior Design Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of our design projects from concept through to final installation.


As a Project Manager, you will be the bridge between our design team, clients, contractors, and vendors. You are responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our high standards of quality and design excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases of interior design projects, including programming, schematic design, design development, procurement, and final installation.
  • Client Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, providing regular status updates, and facilitating clear communication.
  • Budgeting & Procurement: Develop and track project budgets, manage the procurement process (sourcing, ordering, tracking, and inspection), and coordinate logistics/deliveries.
  • Site Management: Coordinate with contractors, architects, and sub-trades. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure design intent is followed, and resolve on-site issues.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure all milestones—including design approvals, material lead times, and site work—are met on time.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including purchase orders, change orders, meeting minutes, and detailed installation plans.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in interior design project management, architecture, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, or dedicated design software like Studio Designer).
    • Strong understanding of interior design processes, materials, furniture specifications, and construction documents.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to negotiate and build relationships with vendors and contractors.
