SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Product Development Technical Writer is responsible for authoring and maintaining design, manufacturing, and process control documents to ensure successful product transition from concept to production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develops and controls all product build instructions and manuals (part specific)
  • Accountable to ensure all instructions and manuals are written with the six-sigma philosophy - DFSS
  • Provides leadership for safety and the environment
  • Ensures successful completion of assigned project phases within the budgeted time
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
  • Understand the importance of designing, building, and operating safe systems. Basic knowledge and understanding of basic safety work processes such as JSA’s and MOC’s
  • Demonstrate commitment in the successful EH&S management of chemical processes and facilities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • BS in English or Technical field or 5-10 years’ occupational experience
  • 1-5 years of technical writing experience
  • Semiconductor industry experience strongly desired
  • Semiconductor manufacturing/process knowledge strongly desired
  • Engineering/Manufacturing background desired
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks Composer or similar technical publication software desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
