Position Summary...The Senior Manager, Civil Engineering, leads the execution of complex real estate and infrastructure projects by overseeing design, permitting, and site planning processes. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, manages external consultants, and drives cost-effective solutions while resolving technical challenges. The position fosters a collaborative team environment through coaching and development, promotes adherence to company policies and ethics, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. By aligning engineering strategies with business objectives, this role contributes to delivering high-quality, efficient projects that meet operational and customer needs.

  • Lead the execution of business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, setting priorities, and removing barriers to performance.
  • Champion company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, fostering a culture of belonging and compliance.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current plans and initiatives, consult with stakeholders, and apply suggestions for improvement to ensure business needs are met.
  • Oversee external civil engineering consultants by establishing deliverables and timelines, ensuring documentation accuracy, and reviewing compliance with Walmart’s standards and specifications.
  • Manage the civil design process for real estate initiatives, coordinate with consultants and legal partners, resolve design and construction issues, and review design changes.
  • Establish best practices to ensure cost containment, identify inefficiencies, and recommend alternatives to improve site layout and budget.
  • Direct site planning, technical due diligence, and site entitlement for real estate development, managing consulting firms and navigating permitting processes.
  • Govern civil engineering design development and implementation, including systematic audits and oversight of site plans.
