Director Design Management

Introduction

We are looking for a highly experienced and execution-driven Senior Principal Manager, SoC Design to lead end-to-end SoC program delivery from feasibility through silicon bring-up. This role combines technical leadership with program, cost, and execution ownership.

Your Job

  • Own end-to-end SoC execution from concept through silicon bring-up and validation

  • Lead feasibility analysis based on customer requirements (performance, power, cost, schedule)

  • Translate requirements into execution strategy including architecture alignment and IP selection

  • Drive program planning including milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation

  • Develop people and resource models across internal teams, contractors, and partners

  • Build and manage detailed cost models (engineering, IP, EDA, silicon, packaging, test)

  • Define and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) with scope, deliverables, and change control

  • Lead contractor onboarding, delivery tracking, and quality management

  • Drive IP strategy and procurement including vendor selection and integration readiness

  • Collaborate with internal teams, EDA vendors, and external partners for execution alignment

  • Act as technical interface to customers and translate requirements into delivery plans

  • Establish execution metrics for schedule, quality, and silicon readiness

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record delivering complex SoC programs from concept through silicon

  • Strong experience across RTL, DV, DFT, and Physical Design

  • Experience in customer-facing roles including feasibility analysis and solution definition

  • Experience in resource modeling, cost modeling, SOW definition, contractor management, and IP procurement

  • Strong leadership and communication skills across global teams

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in one or more domains (RTL, DV, DFT, Physical Design)

  • Experience with advanced node SoC development

  • Proven first-pass silicon success

  • Experience working across global teams including US and India
