Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Principal Lab Technician for the department of Neurosurgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Principal Lab Technician assists with neuroimaging research projects. The individual will be tasked to design, test, and evaluate methods and protocols for processing and analyzing neuroimage data, including structural CT/MRI, resting state fMRT, DTI, and task-based fMRJ. The neuroimaging data will be interpreted along with the study subject's demographic information and neurocognitive performance scores. This person will summarize and organize collected data and publish the results of investigations in professional journals. The individual should work at some level of independence under the mentorship of the PI and Senior Research Associate.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Aid with research in publication editing, bioinformatics analysis, imaging analysis, histology.
  • Ensure that glassware and equipment are kept clean and properly stored.
  • Prepare stock solutions and buffers.
  • Assist with the maintenance of laboratory facilities, equipment, and instruments.
  • Assists maintaining records and files.
