Job Description

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Engineering Development of air springs and subcomponents in alignment with customer/internal requirements and package boundary conditions.
  • Support the detailing of component and assembly drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Alignment of the customer requirements with the current AUMOVIO specifications
  • Presentation of design and DFMEA results in reviews at internally.
  • Creation of internal and customer product specifications.
  • Verification of customer / supplier requirements with internal specifications/requirements
  • Maintenance of engineering schedule and with other disciplines including customer milestones
  • Responsible for adherence to schedules for engineering milestones.
  • Preparation of required documents and work products for releases and gate reviews.
  • Application of GD&T.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or higher degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
  • Must remain actively enrolled in an eligible academic program for the duration of the internship assignment.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Sophomore standing or higher at the time of internship start.
  • Ability to work on-site in Auburn Hills, Michigan during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
  • Fluent in English (Speaking / Writing)
  • Knowledge in Mechanical component design for strength and durability
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
  • Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, suspension geometries and performance metrics
