What You'll Do
As a Roadway Design Intern, you will support transportation engineering projects through a combination of office and field assignments. Responsibilities may include:
  • Work alongside experienced engineers on challenging transportation projects
  • Collaborate with project managers and colleagues on multiple transportation projects that vary in size and scope while developing familiarity with the federal, state, and local design standards
  • Utilize technical software programs to analyze, prepare, and quality check client deliverables
  • Field observations and data collection
  • Assist with preparation of technical reports and memos
  • Participation in technical and client meetings
  • Fun team-building activities that will allow you to network with professionals and interns alike

The successful candidate must have:
  • Completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • A valid driver's license is required
