Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Building Design Engineer to join our team supporting the Nevada National Security Site! This position is full-time and will be based out of North Las Vegas, Nevada.
Responsibilities
  • Generate marketing quality media conveying concepts of future AEC programs and projects facilities.
  • Create documents to record progress, completed designs, and construction specifications.
  • For industrial and commercial buildings, develop and review:
    • building floor plans,
    • system layouts,
    • site layouts,
    • 2-D and 3-D renderings, and
    • visualizations using Revit and Lumion.
  • Coordinate with architects and multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Build teaming relationship with technical and other company organizations.
  • Interpret and adapt guidelines for specific engineering and design cases.

Requirements
  • Education & Years of Experience - Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Citizenship - To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
  • Clearance - To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

The NNSA's Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) helps ensure the security of the United States and its allies by supporting the stewardship of the nuclear deterrent, providing emergency response capability and training, and contributing to key nonproliferation and arms control initiatives.
