Overview
The Graphic Designer is able to interpret a creative brief and work directly with project managers, copywriters, and other designers to produce high quality design work that meets project objectives. The Graphic Designer must show competency in areas of typography, layout, production, photo selection, and technical ability.
Responsibilities
  • Visually communicates the key messages of the company, its brands, and products.
  • Ability to produce work in compliance with existing brand guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of typographic principles.
  • Works collaboratively with writers, photographers, and design team.
  • Regularly presents work to Associate Creative Director and Creative Director.
  • Takes ownership of projects.
  • Is a life-long learner, and a relevant, career designer; stays up-to-date on industry standards, trends, and best practices.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of prepress, and printing processes, and ability to produce print-ready files.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with files and equipment.
  • Competency and experience with the Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications
  • Strong design portfolio that exhibits not only a passion for high-quality graphic design, but also an understanding of marketing and effective communications.
  • Portfolio work that demonstrates critical thinking skills, both creatively, and strategically.
  • Formal education in graphic design recommended.
  • Competency and experience with the Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Detailed work and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Communicate (hearing & speech) with individuals in person and by phone.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Sit with intermittent walking.
