Job description

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead the design, development, and integration of AI/ML-driven solutions into FortiAnalyzer, enhancing its security analytics and automation capabilities. This role requires a strong background in AI/ML model development, security data analysis, and software engineering, as well as leadership experience in managing development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and integration of AI/ML-powered features into FortiAnalyzer, focusing on security analytics, anomaly detection, and automated threat response.
  • Manage and mentor a team of software developers and data scientists, ensuring the successful delivery of AI/ML solutions.
  • Oversee the entire AI/ML pipeline, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with security experts, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to align AI/ML initiatives with business and product goals.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of AI/ML solutions in a production environment.
  • Stay up to date with AI/ML advancements, security threats, SIEM/SOAR trends, and industry best practices to drive innovation.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in AI/ML model development, training, and deployment for real-world applications.
  • Strong background in data science or data engineering, including data processing, feature engineering, and model optimization.
  • Proficiency in Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and data processing frameworks.
  • Work experience in security data analysis, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), or SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response).
  • Proven experience leading and managing a development team to deliver AI/ML solutions integrated into a product.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with C/C++, GO, Java or Scala for performance-critical applications.
  • Experience working with log analytics, cybersecurity, and Fortinet security solutions.
  • Knowledge of database, data warehouse and data lakehouse.
  • Knowledge of big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $110,000 - $150,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
