Overview
The Business Development Manager is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for driving membership growth, expanding corporate partnerships (Select Employee Groups/SEGs), and serving as the primary public face of the Credit Union. This position blends strategic sales execution with community engagement and media relations.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic networker and an exceptional communicator who is equally comfortable pitching financial wellness programs to executive boards as they are representing the Credit Union in live television interviews and radio broadcasts.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Community & Media Representation: Serve as the official spokesperson and brand ambassador for the Credit Union. Cultivate relationships with local media outlets and actively participate in public relations initiatives, including live and recorded TV segments, radio appearances, and podcast interviews to promote corporate initiatives and financial literacy.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, prospect, and secure new business partnerships and SEGs to expand the Credit Union's membership footprint and deposit base.
  • Community Engagement & Sponsorships: Lead the Credit Union's involvement in community events, civic organizations, and philanthropic initiatives. Manage high-impact community events and local business support programs that align with a lifestyle-focused brand identity.
  • B2B Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing corporate partners, presenting tailored financial wellness solutions, workshops, and onsite enrollment opportunities to their workforces.
  • Campaign & Market Strategy: Partner with the marketing team to design, execute, and track localized business development campaigns that increase brand awareness and drive product adoption.
  • Performance Tracking: Meet and exceed established key performance indicators (KPIs) for new member acquisition, partner onboarding, and community engagement ROI.
  • Aids Branch Managers with respect to financial education sessions and group liaison activities.
  • Night and weekend events are required.

Event Responsibilities:
  • Host and represent Frontwave Credit Union booth(s) at community events and the Frontwave Arena.
  • Engage with event attendees, providing information about Frontwave's services and benefits.
  • Distribute promotional materials and giveaways.
  • Assist in setting up and tearing down event booths and displays.
  • Assist branch goals where applicable.
  • Capture photos and videos for social media and marketing purposes.
  • Maintain a positive and energetic attitude while interacting with the public.
  • Provide feedback and insights from events to improve future engagements.

Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Supervises staff in accordance with Credit Union policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews and recommends qualified applicants for employment.
  • Assigns duties and work schedules to ensure efficiency.
  • Performance management activities, including annual appraisals
  • Reviews, adjusts and approves time sheets biweekly to Human Resources for payroll processing.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or related disciplines, plus five years of proven, hands-on experience related to sales, business development or community relations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Outgoing and friendly personality.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Reliable transportation to various event locations.
Salary Range: $81,417.85 - $122,126.78
