Job description

Pavarini McGovern part of the STO Building Group is seeking a VDC Coordinator to join their team in New York City.  

ROLE OVERVIEW

The VDC Coordinator plays a critical role in implementing VDC processes throughout design and construction. This role focuses heavily on MEP/FP coordination, supporting trade integration, clash resolution, and maintaining accurate BIM documentation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple projects while engaging both internal and external stakeholders.

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead and support MEP/FP BIM coordination workflows.
  2. Develop and enforce the BIM Execution Plan (for each assigned project)
  3. Facilitate trade coordination with field superintendents, design teams, and subcontractors.
  4. Write RFIs due to design/coordination issues.
  5. Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks and ACC.
  6. Develop BIM and composite plans based on evolving design and construction input.
  7. Conduct site walkthroughs to validate field conditions and update models accordingly.
  8. Track coordination issues and maintain documentation in Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  9. Attend and document weekly coordination meetings.
  10. Submit Coordination Sign-Off Forms and uphold VDC QA/QC standards.
  11. Participate in VDC team development through peer learning and internal training initiatives.
  12. Create site logistic plans for RFPs (2D/3D)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a VDC/BIM coordination role (GC/CM or subcontractor experience preferred).
  2. Strong working knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam.
  3. Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills - comfortable running meetings with owners, architects, and trade principals
  4. Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, ReCap, and point cloud workflows preferred.
  5. Experience with MEP modeling and understanding of construction phasing/logistics.
  6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
  7. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000

Compensation: In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
