About the Role

We are looking for a Design Coordinator to join our PDS team in our Phoenix, AZ office. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate integration between design and construction teams to optimize project outcomes.
  • Manage and coordinate the design process for complex, large-scale commercial projects.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications across all CSI divisions.
  • Conduct cross-discipline drawing coordination and design quality reviews.
  • Assess design document status by phase (SD, DD, CD) and communicate expectations.
  • Identify, track, and address challenges during design and construction phases.
  • Contribute constructability and technical expertise to design evolution.
  • Understand risks and roles associated with various project delivery methods.
  • Interpret contract documents and agreements.
  • Coach and mentor junior associates.
  • Communicate effectively and manage time efficiently in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related design/construction field.
  • Experience managing complex, large-scale commercial projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the A/E industry or related fields.
  • Active Architecture license.
  • Experience in aviation projects.
  • Familiarity with contract documents and project delivery methods.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
