JOB TITLE: Marketing & Communications Coordinator

LOCATION: Carlinville, IL

REPORTS TO: Agronomy Manager      

STATUS: Exempt        

SALARY RANGE: $50,000-$75,000/year, depending on experience                                                                                            

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Supports the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the organization's marketing and communication strategies. Plays a key role in promoting the organization's brand, enhancing customer engagement, and ensuring consistent, highquality delivery of marketing materials, campaigns, and information systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Conducts market and customer research to support sales strategies and seasonal campaigns.
  • Analyzes promotional performance and offers ROIfocused insights for M&M/FS-branded marketing initiatives.
  • Maintains marketing information systems and delivers prompt reports for department managers and leadership.
  • Manages advertising budgets and allocates spending across agronomy, energy, grain, and retail divisions.
  • Reviews and approves advertising to ensure accuracy and M&M/FS brand standards.
  • Collaborates with internal teams and vendors to produce highquality promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Creates marketing content, including basic design and coordination with media partners.
  • Leads the creation and distribution of newsletters and communication pieces highlighting the M&M Service Company Team.
  • Oversees publicfacing content such as media releases, interviews, and articles that promote M&M Service Company's mission and community involvement.
  • Plans and executes promotions, customer events, field days, and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinates and supports recruiting efforts at high school and college career fairs.
  • Administers supplier incentive programs and communicates updates across agronomy, energy, and grain teams.
  • Creates, maintains, monitors, and provides recommendations to management on company's digital marketing strategy for social media outlets, company website, online advertising campaigns, search engine optimization, web analytics, and internal SharePoint sites.
  • Strengthens relationships with local FFA chapters through sponsorships and youthinag engagement.
  • Strengthens M&M Service Company's goodwill through presentations, exhibits, tours, and community engagement efforts.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists with company marketing meetings, trade shows, and events.
  • Coordinates department news releases, customer communications, and internal company communications.
  • May be required to order uniforms and invoice employees.
  • Occasionally may be asked to drive and run local errands as requested.
  • May be required to cross-train and substitute for other administrative positions.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Normally requires an associate or bachelor's degree in business, Agriculture, Marketing or the equivalent thereof, and/or 4 - 5 years or more of office related work experience to demonstrate advanced knowledge of professional communication skills, typing ability and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
  • May be required to work hours beyond those considered "normal" to meet seasonal demands.
  • Daily independent travel within the trade area is required, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with proper safety measures.
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) & exposure to noisy environments.
