Job description

Position Summary:

At Mission Design & Automation, we attribute our success to the strength of our team and our ability to be agile and adaptive to new market demands. To build on this team, we are searching for a Project Manager. This role will work interdepartmentally to ensure the success of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the lifecycle of automation projects, ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously, and deliver highly competitive solutions for customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point-of-contact between internal teams and customers
  • Facilitate internal collaboration by providing clear guidance to project teams
  • Lead project teams through project kickoffs, scope and engineering changes, schedule and budget management, open issues, and risk analysis
  • Identify and anticipate project needs and take action accordingly
  • Support Business Development by providing expertise on timelines, costs, and more
  • Prepare and communicate project status and escalate critical concerns as needed
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership, and soft skills necessary to build relationships
  • Self-starting, focused, and able to work independently
  • Demonstrate efficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in technical field and/or experience managing projects in the automation industry
  • 5+ years of experience in the automation industry
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Prior experience in machine design, build, or programming strongly preferred
  • History of successfully managing multiple customer contacts and projects at various stages of completion
  • PMP certification preferred but not required
  • Some travel to customer facilities may be required
