A nationally recognized design-build construction firm is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial and industrial construction projects across the United States.

This is an opportunity to join a company known for delivering technically challenging projects with a strong emphasis on collaboration, quality, and long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys being in the field, and takes pride in running organized, safe, high-performing jobsites.

Experience with food manufacturing, industrial processing, cold storage, or regulated facility construction is highly valued.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Work for a respected design-build firm with a strong national project portfolio
  • Travel to large-scale projects across the East Coast, Midwest, and West Coast
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and travel support
  • Strong backlog of work and long-term stability
  • Opportunity to work on highly technical and specialized facilities
  • Collaborative company culture with direct access to leadership
  • Immediate hiring need with growth opportunities available
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all day-to-day field operations from mobilization through project closeout

  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
  • Conduct daily coordination meetings and manage field communication
  • Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays
  • Coordinate inspections, turnover activities, and punch list completion
  • Partner closely with Project Managers and clients throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial, industrial, or design-build construction
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience managing large-scale vertical or industrial projects
  • Food manufacturing, processing plant, cold storage, or clean facility experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA certification preferred
Ideal Candidate

You’re someone who can walk onto a jobsite, quickly establish order, build trust with subcontractors, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently. You understand how to balance schedule, quality, and relationships while representing the company professionally in front of clients and partners.

If you enjoy travel, autonomy, and running meaningful projects from the field — this is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing and respected team.
