Working in close partnership with the Creative Director, the Design Director translates creative intent into player experiences and systems that are clear, deep, and engaging.ย ย 

The Design Director sets the standard for design quality, structure, and communication, while also being deeply involved in feature prioritization, pacing, and mechanical cohesion. They play a key role in ensuring that the game delivers a complete and satisfying experience that meets the expectations of both players and external partners.ย 

In this role you will:
  • Define and drive the vision in alignment with the Creative Director's vision of the project.
  • Direct the design teams across different specialties, including missions, narrative, level design, and UX implementation. ย 
  • Mediate between feature and content review requests from other disciplines and what the overall mission design can realistically support. ย 
  • Evaluate design work at all stages of development to ensure clarity, balance, depth, and player comprehension.
  • Primary interface point for clients (Co-Dev/Publishers/Product Group) when talking about specific missions and related content.ย ย 
What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience as a Design Director, Game Director or Associate Design Director on a successful PC/Console game.ย 
  • Excellent collaboration skills and experience working closely with Narrative, Level Design, Art and Audio.
  • Experience in mission design is an asset, with a track record of delivering engaging narrative and gameplay-driven content.ย 
  • Leadership and mentorship skills, with experience managing and developing teams of designers.
  • Passion for creating innovative player experiences and staying current with industry trends and best practices. ย 
Dans ce role tu devras:
  • Definir et porter la vision du projet en alignement avec celle du/de la directeurrice creatifve;
  • Superviser les equipes de conception de differentes specialites, notamment les missions, la narration, le level design et l'implementation UX;

  • Evaluer le travail de conception a toutes les etapes du developpement afin de garantir la clarte, l'equilibre, la profondeur et la bonne comprehension de l'experience par les joueureuses;
  • Etre le principal point de contact pour les clientes (co-developpement, editeurs/trices, groupe produit) concernant les missions specifiques et les contenus associes.
Ce que nous recherchons:
  • Experience averee en tant que directeurrice du design, directeurrice de jeu ou directeurrice associee du design sur un jeu PC ou console a succes;
  • Excellentes aptitudes en collaboration et experience de travail etroit avec les equipes de narration, de level design, d'art et d'audio;
  • Une experience en conception de missions est un atout, avec un historique demontre de livraison de contenus narratifs et ludiques engageants;
  • Solides competences en leadership et en mentorat, avec une experience de gestion et de developpement d'equipes de concepteurrices;
  • Passion pour la creation d'experiences de jeu innovantes et veille constante des tendances et meilleures pratiques de l'industrie.

En etroite collaboration avec la direction creative, la direction du design traduit l'intention creative en experiences de jeu et en systemes clairs, profonds et engageants pour les joueureuses.

La direction du design etablit les standards de qualite, de structure et de communication en matiere de conception, tout en etant fortement impliquee dans la priorisation des fonctionnalites, le rythme de progression et la coherence des mecaniques de jeu. Elle joue un role cle pour garantir que le jeu offre une experience complete et satisfaisante, a la hauteur des attentes des joueureuses comme des partenaires externes.
