Job description

WRJ is looking for a passionate Design Assistant with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in high-end residential design. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to grow their skills and gain valuable experience working on some of the most prestigious residential projects in the industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively engage in maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout all phases of design projects, ensuring smooth collaboration between team members and clients.
  • Play a key role in scheduling and organizing client meetings, and proactively support Designers
  • Create Agendas and Develop Meeting Minutes and distribute for client and team meetings, ensuring all relevant topics are covered and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with designers to accurately price all items contributing to the overall project vision and budget alignment.
  • Actively monitor and update project budgets, providing insights and recommendations to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Create and prepare compelling visual presentations for clients, showcasing design concepts and solutions effectively.
  • Organize and schedule business trips and appointments, facilitating seamless execution of design projects.
  • Accurately enter and manage design specifications, ensuring all project details are documented and accessible.
  • Place and manage orders with vendors, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of high-quality design materials and furnishings.

QUALIFICATIONS      

  • Previous administrative experience in Interior Design or related Creative Field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and a team player
  • Strong organizational skills

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • AutoCAD, Revit and/or ArchiCAD
  • InDesign
  • Abode Creative Suites
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Studio Web
  • Asana

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time, hourly position. Compensation commensurate with experience.

  • WRJ covers 75% of the employee’s medical insurance premium and 50% of the employee’s dental and vision premiums
