Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support existing products, drive Cost Value Engineering (CVE) initiatives, and contribute to the development of innovative mechatronic products. This role involves designing and developing mechanical hardware, including controllers, sensors, actuators, enclosures, and accessories, while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate has strong experience in 3D modeling, product design, technical documentation, and manufacturing support.

Responsibilities

  • Design and modify mechanical components using 3D modeling software for mechatronic products.
  • Develop mechanical layouts, component details, illustrations, and engineering documentation.
  • Support Cost Value Engineering (CVE) and new product development projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering specifications, and product documentation.
  • Collaborate with vendors to optimize designs, tooling, manufacturability, and production costs.
  • Support troubleshooting of product issues with field teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Generate project schedules, development plans, and mechanical engineering specifications.
  • Assist with prototype assembly, testing, and manufacturing support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, assembly, and fabrication of electro-mechanical devices.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, preferably Siemens NX.
  • Working knowledge of TeamCenter, SAP/ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical writing skills for engineering reports and specifications.
  • Experience in a mechanical laboratory, prototype development, or hands-on engineering environment is preferred.
