Job Summary:
The Customer Account Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional service to clients while handling custom quoting and order processing. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is skilled at interpreting CAD drawings to generate accurate and competitive quotes for products and services. The Customer Account Specialist will work closely with customers, sales teams, and technical teams to ensure all requirements are met, while delivering top-notch service and facilitating smooth project management.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:45 AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 7:45 AM-3:30 PM.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, handling inquiries, providing updates, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term business partnerships.
  • Understand customer requirements and preferences to recommend suitable products or services.
  • Review customer requirements and specifications to create timely, competitive, and accurate custom quotes for products or services, ensuring proper cost analysis is included.
  • Utilize CAD drawings and technical documentation to interpret customer needs and prepare detailed cost estimates, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for.
  • Process customer orders accurately, ensuring all specifications and requirements are captured.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and orders in the ERP system.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and production, to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
Experience and education requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in customer service, account management, or a similar role, with a focus on custom quoting or CAD drawing interpretation preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to customers in an understandable manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of quotes and orders based on customer requirements and CAD specifications.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues and provide creative solutions to meet customer needs while maintaining company standards.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach with the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in ERP software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with quoting and order management systems a plus.

Work Environment
This job is primarily performed in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment. Collaborative team-oriented culture with an emphasis on customer service excellence. May require work in production areas when performing additional (cross-functional) responsibilities.
Special tools/equipment
This job only requires special tools when following inspection, material processing, or packaging activities as described in those work instructions.
Safety requirements
The Customer Account Specialist is required to observe pertinent safety requirements (MSDS) when handling dry ice.
