Desert Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team on a full-time basis in beautiful Tampa, Florida. • Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations of pediatric patients to assess their needs and diagnose conditions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect best practices and patient preferences, addressing injuries, diseases, and disabilities through established physical therapy modalities.

• Educate and train patients and caregivers, ensuring they understand treatment objectives, techniques, and exercises to promote health and recovery.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy standards and innovations, applying this to enhance patient care.

• Document all patient interactions thoroughly and accurately, maintaining compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and educational staff, to ensure smooth patient transitions from evaluation through treatment.

• Assure adherence to departmental productivity standards while managing caseload effectively.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including monitoring therapy equipment safety and effectiveness.

• Contribute to departmental growth by assisting in marketing strategies and program development to enhance our referral base.

Our focus is squarely on pediatric patients; this role entails providing comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents dealing with various physical challenges. You will possess specific skills and compassion to engage with young patients and their families, ensuring a supportive and effective therapy experience.

• A current and valid State Physical Therapist license is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Master's or Doctorate being preferred.

• Experience in a clinical healthcare setting, specifically working with the pediatric population.

• Proficient physical skills, including manual dexterity and physical stamina, are essential for patient interaction and effective treatment delivery.

• A background in pediatric therapy techniques, including expertise in developing treatment plans specific to children’s needs.

• Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance comprehensive patient care.

The annual salary for this position ranges between $50,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
