Requirements
Position Overview
The Middle School Softball Head Coach oversees the athletic program for their assigned sport, fostering student growth in both athletic ability and personal character. This role builds a positive foundation for student athletes to transition successfully into higher levels of competition.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and organize practices, games, and conditioning sessions.

  • Teach fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

  • Mentor and supervise assistant coaches.

  • Monitor academic performance and eligibility standards.

  • Communicate with families, staff, and administration.

  • Represent DHPA Athletics within the CAA with professionalism and pride.

Qualifications
  • Previous coaching experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of the sport and CAA rules.

  • Ability to inspire and positively mentor middle school athletes.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

  • Fingerprint clearance card (required).
