What You Will Do

We invite you to join our dynamic sales team and become part of our exciting growth. As a Business Consultant, your mission is to cultivate existing business, oversee sales expansion, and uphold exceptional customer service along with educating prospective clients on the value of becoming a business partner with Dermalogica. This rewarding sales opportunity will oversee all of Louisiana, Mississippi, and most of Alabama.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops Dermalogica sales through effective execution of a sales call plan, meeting reach, and frequency goals, conducting events within accounts, and assuring the attendance of Skin Therapists at Dermalogica education classes.
  • Grows the number of qualified Dermalogica accounts within the territory by showing prospective accounts the value of the Dermalogica line and education support in line with their business goals.
  • Services existing accounts within given sales territory with a trusting and meaningful relationship.
  • Visits existing accounts to develop sales and relationships no less than 1 time per month
  • Meets monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for new account openings, in terms of numbers and dollars, by meeting or exceeding targets for cold-call activities, and field visits with identified and qualified leads.
  • Engages in relentless prospecting activities, profiling, and opening Dermalogica accounts through the generation of leads by multiple aspects, including cold-calling and event management, building a relationship through regular, on-going personal visits with prospective accounts in the area to lead the prospective account to open with Dermalogica.
  • Assures rapid follow-up with a new lead within 36-72 hours of the identification in some form to build immediately upon the interest of the prospect in Dermalogica.
  • Meets all KPI goals quarterly and annually.
  • Manages business and administrative responsibilities including timely submission of territory business plans, logging of sales calls and calendar activities in Pepperi, and expense reports as well as other sales reports as defined by their District Manager.
  • Works regional trade shows, PULLS, events, or other Dermalogica programs as specified by the District Manager.
  • Significant travel daily by car to visit accounts.
  • The position requires regular attendance at sales meetings such as quarterly meetings and national sales meetings which will require overnights.
  • Participating in regional or national trade shows may be a requirement and those once-a-year events often overlap with weekends.
  • Maintains and assures a safe work environment, embracing safe driving practices.
What You Will Bring

Key Qualifications:

  • High school degree required; BA/BS degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years of field sales experience, ideally in the beauty industry or with prestige consumer goods required
  • Experience with servicing salons, spas, physician’s offices, and the “sole proprietor” customer base is highly desirable. National accounts servicing background also ideal
  • Client building experience required
  • Licensed skin care therapist a plus
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of success
Key Skills and Abilities:
  • Master Dermalogica product knowledge and skincare technique, particularly how they differ from competitors, and ways to best feature to a Dermalogica account
  • Significant daily vehicle travel to visit accounts daily is a requirement
  • The ideal candidate should understand the requirements of today’s skincare centers and be reliable, dedicated, and willing to work as part of a winning team
  • As an ambassador of Dermalogica, the candidate must incorporate the company’s mission and commitment to its business partners at every point of contact with both internal and external clients

The expected base salary for this position is $65,000 to $70,000. The exact base pay rate is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. Additionally, the successful Business Consultant will be participating in the sales incentive bonus program.
