Job description

Do you love skincare? Are you passionate about sales, education, and being part of a winning team? Your wait is over! Join Dermalogica as a Part-Time Retail Associate in NYC Metro and be accountable for driving retail sales and promoting Dermalogica services with assigned Ulta and Sephora partner doors. Working independently and in conjunction with others, you will work diligently to model best Dermalogica practices within a fast-paced, multi-branded retail environment.
Shifts are scheduled during peak retail time periods (generally 11:00AM to 5:00PM or 12:00PM to 6:00PM) to include Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and most Sundays and may include an occasional Wednesday. Estimated work week is 28 hours. Ulta and Sephora door locations will be situated in Manhattan and surrounding area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote and sell Dermalogica and Clear Start, striving to reach defined retail targets.
  • Maintain a comprehensive level of Dermalogica product knowledge - including new product launches and in-store promotional efforts.
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of Dermalogica products.
  • Provide product and promotional information to Ulta & Sephora associates.
  • Motivate store associates
  • Execute events designed to meet defined objectives on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis.
  • Highly level of communication! Regular and consistent touch bases with National Account Manager with business needs, wins, and opportunities.
  • Be the Ultimate Dermalogica Brand Ambassador.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Strong background in retail sales and promotional event planning within the skincare industry required
  • Multi-location responsibility experience required
  • Having an Esthetics license is required
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and ability to drive extensively within the territory required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ADP
  • Must have a clear understanding of market and consumer needs with the ability to communicate such needs to retail partners and appropriate Dermalogica management

  • The expected base hourly pay rate range is $28-$30 hourly. The exact base pay rate is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This role is eligible for participation in our bonus plan, rewarding personal performance and company results.
