  • Demonstrated capability to identify and prioritise growth opportunities across counterparties, products and geographies, with a clear sense of return on capital
  • Comfortable operating in volatile and fastmoving markets, with the judgement to balance commercial opportunities against risk, liquidity and balance sheet constraints
  • Proven ability to work across organisational boundaries to align commercial, trading and risk objectives, and translate complexity into executable outcomes
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and complex negotiations involving multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Pragmatic, solutionsoriented mindset with the ability to move from strategy to execution and deliver tangible commercial outcomes
  • Strong appreciation of governance, controls and regulatory expectations in derivatives markets, with the judgement to operate effectively within them
  • Ability to influence without authority, building credibility with senior stakeholders across Trading, Risk, Legal and Finance
  • Longterm franchise mindset, focused on sustainable growth, client relevance and reinforcing Shell's position as a trusted counterparty
